Care from someone who gets it

Headshot of Megan Kenny, DNP, PHMNP-BC founder of Harborlight Psychiatric

I'm Megan Kenny, DNP, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with 15+ years of experience across inpatient, PHP/IOP, outpatient, and telepsychiatry care. My practice is intentionally kept small, so patients work directly with me, not a rotating care team.

Appointments are never rushed. Treatment, including medication when appropriate, is built around how you actually live, not a one-size-fits-all protocol.

Harborlight Psychiatric is intentionally kept small so care can stay personal, responsive, and consistent. You'll work with the same clinician who knows your history and treatment plan, not a checklist of symptoms or a different provider each visit.

In-person initial evaluations in Chicago with telehealth and in-person follow-up care for adults (18+) in Illinois. Telehealth is provided only to patients who reside in and are physically located within Illinois at the time of their appointment.

Who I Help

You’re the person
everyone else
counts on.

From the outside, you’re keeping up. You’re meeting deadlines, showing up for others, and doing what needs to be done.

But lately, it may be taking more out of you.

Your focus isn’t as reliable as it used to be. Anxiety is becoming harder to quiet. You’re exhausted in a way that sleep doesn’t seem to fix, or you’re navigating a transition that has made everything feel less steady.

You can be capable, accomplished, and still need support.

At Harborlight Psychiatric, care begins by looking at the whole picture: your symptoms, health, responsibilities, relationships, and the pressures shaping how you feel. Together, we work toward a plan that is thoughtful, realistic, and built around your actual life.

A cozy living room with two green armchairs and a navy blue sofa with green and beige pillows. There's a small wooden coffee table with a potted plant and a coaster. Large windows with white roller shades let in natural light. The walls are painted light green, and there's a framed geometric art piece. A tall white lamp and various plants are also in the room.
