About Megan Kenny, DNP, PMHNP-BC
Founder, Harborlight Psychiatric N.P. Services PLLC
I became a psychiatric nurse practitioner because I believe that mental health care works best when it's truly individualized — not just symptom-matched to a prescription, but built on a clear understanding of who you are, where you're coming from, and what you're working toward.
My practice focuses on high-achieving women and young adults navigating ADHD, anxiety, burnout, depression, and the psychiatric complexity that often accompanies major life transitions. I have a particular interest in ADHD as it presents in adults — especially in women who were often overlooked during childhood and are only now getting answers.
I hold a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and am board-certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). Initial evaluations take place in person; ongoing care is delivered via telehealth throughout Illinois, giving patients the flexibility they need without sacrificing quality of care.
Patients who are prescribed controlled substances are seen in person at least once annually — a clinical and regulatory standard I take seriously as part of responsible, long-term care.
My goal in every appointment is the same: to give you the time, clarity, and expertise you need to feel like yourself again.
